Alerts, notifications and the weekly digest

SentraDMARC raises an alert when something about your domain needs a person: reports stopped, a sender started failing, a record stopped pointing at us. Alerts appear in the app and are emailed to the people who can act on them.

The alert types

GroupAlert
Reporting and mail flowDMARC reports stopped arriving
DMARC pass rate dropped
Mail failing after a DMARC policy change
New unknown sender
DMARC report too large to store
Hosted DNSHosted DNS record no longer points at us
SPF update held for review
MTA-STS certificate expiring or expired
MTA-STS policy no longer matches your mail servers
Usage and billing80% of monthly report volume used
Monthly report volume limit reached
Payment failed
Subscription cancelled
Reporting records about to be withdrawn
Beta access ended

Each check runs on its own schedule: report silence, DNS drift and pass rates are checked daily, hosted SPF hourly, and new senders as reports arrive.

Who receives them

  • For a domain in an organization workspace: the owner, every admin, and the person the alert concerns if they are still in the workspace. Members and viewers see alerts in the app.
  • For a domain in your personal workspace: you.

Each alert is emailed at most once a day per domain while the condition lasts. The in-app list keeps every one.

Choosing what you receive

In Settings → Notifications, switch each alert type on or off for yourself, per workspace. A switched-off alert still appears in the alerts feed. As the owner you always receive the billing and cancellation alerts (volume limit reached, payment failed, subscription cancelled, records about to be withdrawn, beta ended).

Extra recipients

An organization workspace can add up to 5 addresses outside the team, such as a shared mailbox or an on-call alias. They receive every alert email of the workspace, need no account, and each email names who added them. Only the owner or an admin can change the list.

The weekly digest

Every Monday, owners and admins receive one email covering the previous week (Monday to Monday, UTC) for the workspaces they own or administer: reports received, messages, DMARC pass rate, new senders, alerts raised, and each domain's grade, worst first. Turn it off in Settings → Notifications, or with the unsubscribe link in its footer, which needs no sign-in. Unsubscribing from the digest does not affect alerts.
